Two family-run mills raised to export standard with colour sorters financed through Fallowmere.
Two family mills we have worked with for years now run optical colour sorters installed with financing arranged by Fallowmere and repaid from milling margins. Discoloured and chalky grains are rejected kernel by kernel, holding breakage under 5% — the threshold our West African distributors insist upon.
Milled rice leaves in sealed 25 kg sacks, each stencilled with mill, date and lot so any complaint can be traced to the exact shift. The families keep ownership; we keep a milling slot reserved through the season.
