Produce programme
Corn Belt Sourcing
Sweet corn and feed maize from the river districts, for fresh packs or dried bulk.
Along the river districts our growers plant sweet corn for the fresh trade and dent maize for feed on neighbouring blocks, rotating with legumes to keep the soil willing. Fresh ears are picked milky-ripe at dawn and rushed to pre-cooling; feed maize stands longer and comes in dry for the bulk heap.
That split harvest lets one district serve two very different customers — crisp vegetable packs for produce importers and dependable feed-grade tonnage for millers — without either line compromising the other.
